Updated over 3 months ago

The sales report allows you to visualize and analyze the commercial performance of each of your points of sale, whether they are physical stores, warehouses, or distribution centers. With key metrics such as products sold, total revenue, and available stock, this tool supports strategic decision-making based on up-to-date data.

In addition, you can customize reports, apply filters, and export the data to share it easily with your team.

Requirements to view, edit, and export the sales report

  • The user must have one of the following roles: OWNER, STORE MANAGER, or WHOLESALE MANAGER. To configure user roles, go to Create or Edit a User.

  • You must have sales data available to analyze. If there are no recorded sales, the report will not display any data.

Steps to View, Edit, and Export the Sales Report

Using the Sales by Location Report

  1. Go to the Analytics module and open the Sales section.

  2. At the top of the report, you'll find the following options:

    • Filters to choose the type of report.

    • Date selector to set the time range you want to analyze.

    • "Export Report" button to download the information.

Step 1: Select the date range

Before applying any filters, choose the date range you want to analyze using the date picker at the top of the report. This ensures the data displayed matches the desired period.

Step 2: Apply a report filter

Next to the "Sales Report" title, you'll find a menu to choose how the data is displayed:

  • Sales by location: Shows general data per location based on the selected date range.

  • Sales by location and date: Breaks down the data by day and by location.

  • Products sold by location and date: Details the sold products, organized by location and date.

Once you select the desired filter, the page will automatically reload. Wait a few seconds for the data to update.

Step 3: Choose the time granularity

Below the graph, you can decide how the data is grouped:

  • Day: Displays the report with daily detail.

  • Week: Groups the data by week.

  • Month: Groups the data by month.

Step 4: Customize your report

On the right-hand side of the screen, you'll find customization options:

  • Filters: Add specific conditions to show only the data you need.

  • Dimensions: These are qualitative categories (e.g., location, product) shown on the left side of the table.

  • Metrics: These are numerical values related to the dimensions (e.g., quantity sold, revenue), shown on the right side of the table.

After configuring your selections, click "Apply filter" to update the report.

To reset to the original view, click "Restore fields" at the bottom of the "Customize report" section.

Step 5: Export the report

To download the current report:

  1. Click on the "Export report" button.

  2. You’ll receive an email with a .zip file containing an Excel document.

This file is useful for archiving, sharing with your team, or performing further analysis.
