The Stockagile MCP lets Claude query your Stockagile data in natural language, without opening the panel. You can ask questions such as “which salesperson sold the most yesterday?” or “which items have the lowest stock in the Barcelona store?”, or ask for reports that combine several data sources.
If you give it write permissions, Claude can also make changes for you, such as creating replenishment orders or changing pricing tiers. This feature is in beta.
Requirements to connect Stockagile to Claude
Have Claude open on your computer, logged in to your company’s Claude account.
Have the Stockagile username and password you will use to authorize the connection at hand.
Steps to connect Stockagile to Claude
In Claude, open the menu at the bottom left and go to Settings.
Go to Connectors.
Click Add and then Add custom connector.
In Name, type “Stockagile”.
In Server URL, type exactly “https://mcp.stockagile.com/mcp”.
Click Continue.
In OAuth Client ID, type “stockagile-mcp”, all lowercase and with a hyphen.
Scroll to the bottom and click Add.
Click Connect and log in to Stockagile with your user. If you are asked to verify your account by email, wait a few seconds and check your inbox.
On the “Authorization request” screen, choose the permissions in the Read, Write and Delete columns. To start in read-only mode, untick every box in the Write and Delete columns.
Click ALLOW ACCESS.
When Claude opens again, click Allow to confirm.
The Stockagile connector shows as connected, with its tools. To try it, open a new chat and ask a simple question, for example: “What was the best-selling product yesterday?”.
Keep in mind:
We recommend starting in read-only mode: with write or delete permissions, Claude does whatever you ask, even bulk changes such as setting the stock of every item to zero.
The connection is linked to the Claude account, so anyone using that account has the same access to Stockagile.
To change the permissions, connect the connector again and adjust the columns; to revoke access, go to Inventory > Settings > Developers.
Claude uses the same data as the Stockagile API, so you can check its answers in the panel.
The first query may take a few seconds longer, and complex questions also take longer because Claude combines several queries.
Common problems
