Edit sizes, colors or other variants of a product – Academy

In Stockagile, product variants can be edited at any time after they have been created. This allows flexibility and makes it easy to update your products without needing to make significant changes.

Requirements to edit product variants

The user must have the role of OWNER, STORE MANAGER, WAREHOUSE MANAGER, or PRODUCT EDITOR. You can see the different types of roles in the section Create or edit a user.
A product must be created. You can see how to create a product in the section Create product.

Steps to edit product variants

Go to the side menu and click on the PRODUCTS button within the CATALOG section.
The product list will appear, and you should click on the product you want to modify.
Once inside the product sheet, click on the VARIANTS tab.
From the VARIANTS tab, at the bottom, you can modify sizes, colors, dimensions, etc., by typing in each one.
You can overwrite the name of each variant, and this name will be displayed regardless of the variant you selected.
If you click on the magnifying glass, you can see in a pop-up window the variants within the category of variants you have created in the settings. To learn more, go to Create and edit variants such as sizes, dimensions, colors, or preferences.
Click SAVE, and at the top right, a message will appear stating "The variant has been successfully updated," and the variants will be saved.
If you add/generate new variants, you should go to the top, and you will see that these have been created in the list. You can create the SKU or barcode one by one.

⚠️ Important note

If in step 4 the program does not allow you to uncheck a variant (as in the screenshot below with the green color and sizes XS, S, and M), it is because this product has stock. Before you can delete those variants, you must set their stock to 0 in all the locations you have.
