While Stockagile allows you to have only one category and one subcategory per product, online stores may need multiple categories, subcategories and multiple levels of them per product. For example, a product may belong to "Novelties", "Women" and "Women > Accessories". For this reason, online store categories are managed separately, with unique categories for each online store.
In this article we will see step by step how to view, modify and delete the categories that are used to connect the products to the online store. The ecommerce categories are defined for each online store. This allows that if we have two or more ecommerce, we can independently manage each category tree separately.

Steps to create an ecommerce category

- Finally click the Save button and you will see the new category you just created on the category page.
- The order of the categories and the difference between category and subcategory can be defined by clicking and dragging the row of the category already created up or down, and to the right side if it is a subcategory. In this way you will be able to build the entire category tree as you want it to appear on the web page.
- It is also possible to create a subcategory from an already created category. Simply click on the + icon, located on the right side of the category row. The procedure will be the same as above, but it will automatically appear as a subcategory, although its order can also be modified.
