The email configuration section allows you to use the email address you prefer as the sender, to send invoices, tickets or reports that you generate from Stockagile. If you do not configure it, the emails will be sent from info@stockagile.com, so we recommend that you do it to make communications more professional.
In this article, we will explain how to configure your email if you use neither Gmail nor Microsoft as your email provider.
- First of all, you must obtain the SMTP information. You may use a different provider such as Yahoo or Protonmail, or the one included in your web hosting service. As each provider or service works differently, we have made a list of the most common ones and instructions on how to get the SMTP information:
Email providers
Hosting services with own webmail
- Hostinger
- IONOS
- Dinahosting
- GoDaddy Workspace Email (if you use Microsoft365 with GoDaddy, you can go to the Microsoft article)
- Hostalia
If your email provider or hosting service is not listed, you will need to look up the SMTP information or contact them for it.
- Once you have the SMTP information, you must enter it in Stockagile. To do this, access the CONFIGURATION menu, click on Email Settings (the second option) and enter the following data:
- Server address: usually starts with "mail." or "smtp.", although it can be different.
- E-mail: your e-mail address
- User: the user you use to log in to your email, although it can be an application user if your provider requires you to do so.
- Password: the password you use to log in, although it can be an application password if your provider requires you to do so.
- Port: 465 if your provider uses SSL, 587 or 25 if using TLS
- Check the Use SSL or Use TLS checkbox.
