Create and edit promotions

Updated over 2 weeks ago

In the store module you can create promotions, specific to a category/subcategory or brand, for a given period and defining whether it is a promotion with a fixed price or a fixed discount. This promotions will not sync to ecommerce.

Requirements to be able to carry out promotions

  • It is very important to have the products created with all their characteristics. You can review the process in How to create a product.

Steps to create, edit and modify promotions

  1. Go to the dropdown menu on the left side, and within the STORES module, click on PROMOTIONS.

  2. You will see a screen with the list of promotions you have made, to create a new one click on NEW PROMOTION.

  3. You will arrive at a screen where you will have to fill in the data requested to configure the promotion.

    • Name: Name you want to give to the promotion.

    • Public Name: Public name that you want to appear on the customer's ticket.

    • Fixed Price: If a fixed price is applied to the products in the promotion, for example 19.99€.

    • Fixed Discount: If, on the other hand, the products in the promotion are given a percentage discount—for example, 20%. If a promotion has a fixed price, a fixed discount cannot be applied, and vice versa.

    • Minimum sale price (including taxes): This is the minimum total sale price (with taxes) required for the promotion to apply.

    • Start and end date: You can decide from which day the promotion starts and when it will end.

  4. At the bottom of the screen you must select the condition that will make an item to be included or not in this promotion. To do this, you can define the condition according to store, category, subcategory, brand, season or product:

    • Apply only to loyal customers: the promotion will only be visible and applied if there are loyal customers associated with the sale.

    • Activate min/max restrictions (optional): If you enable this option, you’ll be able to define the promotion based on the quantity of items the customer purchases:

      • Minimum quantity: the minimum number of items the customer must purchase for the promotion to apply.

      • Maximum quantity: the maximum number of items that can be included in the promotion.

        • Example 1: if you want the promotion to apply when the customer buys more than 2 items, you will only put a 2 in minimum quantity and nothing in maximum quantity.

        • Example 2: if you want the promotion to apply when the customer buys 2 items, but if the customer buys a third item, the promotion will not apply, forcing the customer to buy a fourth product, in this case you will have to put 2 in minimum quantity and 2 in maximum quantity.

    • Stores: set of stores that are included (left selector) or excluded (right selector) from the promotion.

    • Categories: set of categories that are included (left selector) or excluded (right selector) from the promotion.

    • Subcategories: set of subcategories that are included (left selector) or excluded (right selector) from the promotion.

    • Brands: set of brands that are included (left selector) or excluded (right selector) from the promotion.

    • Seasons: set of seasons that are included (left selector) or excluded (right selector) from the promotion.

    • Products: set of explicit products included in the promotion.

    • Excluded products: set of explicit products that are excluded from the promotion.

  5. Once you’ve filled in all the necessary information for your promotion, scroll back up and click the “Save” button.

  6. If you want to create a promotion similar to an existing one, you can duplicate it using the “Actions” button next to Save.

  7. If you want to delete an existing one, you’ll find the “Delete” action in the same “Actions” section.
