When using a website that operates over HTTPS (such as Stockagile) and it needs to make requests over HTTP (e.g., Epson IP Printer or card reader), you must configure what is called mixed content in the browser. This also works with the Edge web browser but does not work with Firefox and Safari.
⚠️ Note: This configuration must be done before establishing the connection from Stockagile to the device.
Requirements:
- Know the IP address of the device you want to use.
Steps to Follow:
- Once you know the IP address, you need to copy this path and paste it into the browser:
Chrome:
chrome://flags/#unsafely-treat-insecure-origin-as-secure
Edge:
edge://flags/#unsafely-treat-insecure-origin-as-secure
Now, type http://DEVICE_IP, for example, http://192.168.0.65
⚠️ Note: It is very important to specify: http:// and not https://, as we are indicating that this IP address can operate under the http protocol.
- Once the IP is specified, select "Enabled" from the dropdown, and restart Chrome with the button at the bottom right "Relaunch".
⚠️ Note: This will restart Chrome, so make sure to save all your work in other tabs.
Once the IP is enabled, you can proceed to Stockagile to continue with the device configuration.
⚠️ Note: It may happen that when entering Chrome, at some point, this message appears. You should ignore it, as it is a warning about what we have just configured.
