This article explains the steps to follow to import products via Excel, with the product template fully filled out and ready for import.
You can see how to fill out the product import template in the article "How to Fill Out the Product Import Template".
- Go to the Catalog module > Products. Once inside, click on the "Import" button located at the top right:

-
You will be redirected to a comprehensive summary of all the imports performed. Click on the "New Import" button located at the top right:

-
A pop-up screen will open. If you want to import products or edit variants, click on "Import Products and Variants":

-
Next, a pop-up will open where you can upload the Excel file you have prepared. To do this, you can either click "Set" or "drag" the file. If you selected the wrong document, you can click "Change File":

-
Finally, once you have uploaded the correct file in the pop-up, click on "Upload File" (this process may take some time, depending on the size of the file). Please note that the accepted formats are .csv, .xls, and .xlsx, and it is very important to have only one filled sheet and to remove the other example sheets from the Excel file.
-
After uploading the file, it is necessary to "Select Columns"; that is, to relate each column of the imported Excel file to the respective fields in Stockagile:

-
Once you have everything completed, click on the "Select Columns" button, which you will find by scrolling down. This will validate the columns along with the product information.
-
If errors occur, the importer will notify you, indicating the row in the Excel file where they have been detected, along with the specific error that was found:

It is possible that the detected errors are due to the imported file being filled out incorrectly (in this case, you will need to correct the file and re-import it into the program by creating a new import). However, it may also be due to a poor "Selection of Columns" (point 6).
If it is a matter of a poor "Selection of Columns," you can go back in the import process by clicking "Back" (scrolling down to the end of the pop-up).
Or by clicking on the corresponding "step" in the import process, as shown below:
-
When everything is correct (that is, no errors are detected), you can start the import by clicking the "Import" button:

If you choose to import the file with detected errors, it will be imported, but the rows with errors will be excluded; that is, all the rows in the file will be imported except those with errors:

Once you click the "Import" button, the process may take some time, depending on the number of products being imported and the size of the file. You will see a progress wheel that will keep spinning until all products are imported into Stockagile:
You can also exit the import, and you will continue to follow the progress thanks to the "Number of Product Variants" column, which will be updated as the rows from the Excel file are imported (you may need to refresh/update the screen):

-
Finally, a validation message will appear, and the import will be complete:

Notes:
- To view the imported products, go back to the Inventory module > Products (you can sort the product list by creation date to display the recently imported products at the top):

- To download the import file in process or completed, go to the first step of the import (Step 1):
