When a product is out of stock or out of season and is no longer needed, you have the option to archive it. In this way, it will disappear from the list of products but will not be removed from the system, in case we want to unarchive it to recover it at any time. As a general rule, it is not possible to remove or delete a product permanently.
Requirements for archiving a product
- The user must have the role of OWNER, STORE MANAGER or WAREHOUSE MANAGER. You can see the different types of roles in section Create or edit a user.
Steps to archive a product
- Go to the product detail of the product you want to archive from the list of PRODUCTS, located in the side menu, in the CATALOG section.
- Once inside the product card, from any of the tabs you will always have the ACTIONS button visible at the top right, from there you can open the menu:
- Finally, click on the ARCHIVE button. The product will now be removed from all product lists and product search engines.
Steps to archive a product in bulk form
- Go to the list of PRODUCTS located in the side menu in the CATALOG section.
- Once inside the product list, you have the option to select multiple products to archive, using the checkbox in the first column of each row of the product table.
- Once you have selected all the products you want to archive, click on the bulk edit button, with a pencil icon, located at the top right just above the list of products:
- Once the bulk edit popup has opened, everything you modify here will be modified to all the selected products. In this case, you must select the ARCHIVE checkbox, located more or less in the middle of the first tab (MAIN INFORMATION):
- Finally, click on the SAVE button located at the bottom right of the pop-up and if you refresh the browser tab, the selected products will have been archived (if many products are selected, the bulk edit may take a few seconds to be applied).
Steps to unarchive a product
- Go to the product detail of the product we want to unarchive, from the list of PRODUCTS, located in the side menu, in the CATALOG section.
- Open the left side filter list through the 3 horizontal lines menu, located at the top left of the table.
- Scroll to the bottom of the filter list to select the ARCHIVED CHECKBOX, and select it. This will display all the archived products in the list:
- Search for the product you want to unarchive, either by using the top left search engine or the other filters in the filter menu.
- Click on the product to enter the details page.
- Once inside the product card, from any of the tabs you will always have the ACTIONS button visible at the top right, from there you can open the menu.
- Finally, click on the UNCHECK button. Now, the product will be visible again in all product lists and product search engines:
