In Stockagile there is the option to assign a specific role to users depending on their function, in order to minimize screens in the daily use of the program according to the role of each user. Roles can be assigned to each user in the Users tab (the first option if you click on the user name at the top right of the panel). There are two types of roles:
- Default roles: These are the predefined roles of the program, the functions of each role are limited and cannot be modified.
- Custom Roles: These are user-created roles, which can be created from existing roles and can modify the functions in a customized way.
The different types of default user roles in the program are:
- Owner: You have access to all program functions.
- Store Seller: Limited access, with the basic functions to sell in store.
- Store Manager: You have full access to the store module management functions, invoicing, stock editing, etc.
- Wholesaler: Limited access, with basic wholesale functions.
- Wholesale manager: You have full access to all the functions necessary to manage the warehouse and make wholesale sales.
- Product Editor: You have the limited access to be able to log into the system and edit product data such as name, prices and descriptions.
Steps to create a custom role:
- Click on the "edit roles" button in the Users window. You will see the default roles and to the right the custom roles in case they are already created.
- Click on the "create role" button at the top right. You can create a role from scratch or from an existing role (to copy the permissions of a role and modify them more easily). As you can see in the image, the checkboxes of the default role functions are grayed out because they cannot be modified, but those of the custom roles can be modified. Once the role has been created, it will appear in the role selection of each user.
