In Stockagile, product variants can be edited at any time after they have been created. This allows flexibility and makes it easy to update your products without needing to make significant changes.
Requirements to edit product variants
The user must have the role of OWNER, RETAIL MANAGER, INVENTORY MANAGER, or PRODUCT EDITOR. You can see the different types of roles in the section Create or edit a user.
A product must be created. You can see how to create a product in the section Create product.
Steps to edit product variants
Go to the side menu and click on the PRODUCTS button within the CATALOG section.
The product list will appear, and you should click on the product you want to modify.
Once inside the product sheet, click on the VARIANTS tab.
You'll see a table with all the variant combinations for the product (color, size, etc.). You can directly edit, by typing in each cell, the SKU, the barcode (EAN-13), the cost price, and the price for each sales pricing tier.
To automatically generate a SKU or barcode for a specific variant, click the corresponding icon in the Actions column of that row. To do this for several variants at once, select their checkboxes and use the icons in the toolbar above the table.
Scroll to the right within the table to also view and edit the width, height, depth, and weight of each variant. If you leave these fields empty, the value configured at the product level will be used by default.
Changes are saved automatically as you type them into the table.
To delete a variant, click the trash icon in its row (or select several rows and use the trash icon in the table's toolbar).
⚠️ Note: If you try to delete a variant and see the message "Some of the selected variants cannot be deleted because they have stocks", it is because that variant has stock in some location. Before you can delete it, you will need to set its stock to 0 in all the locations you have.
