How do I generate a return of a product sold with my former program?

Stockagile allows you to return a sale made with your former software.

The solution to proceed with the return is to create a Returns Voucher as a Payment Method.

Requirements to be able to create, edit and delete payment methods:

  • The user must have the role of OWNER, RETAIL MANAGER or INVENTORY MANAGER. We can see the different types of roles in the section Create or edit a user.

Steps to create a payment method:

  1. In the left menu, open More and click on Configuration.

  2. Click on the option of Payment methods.

  3. In the list of payment methods, click on the NEW PAYMENT METHOD button located at the top right and name it "Former Program Return".

  4. When a customer comes with your former program return voucher, you must choose "Former Program Return" as the payment method.

  1. Fill in the following pop-up data.

    1. Name: name of the payment method (e.g. card, cash, etc).

    2. Code: optional code of the payment method. This field is used in the Sage 200 integration; changing it may affect the integration of simplified invoices.

    3. Description: the description of the method, although it is not a mandatory field.

    4. Show customer IBAN at the invoices: selection in case you want to make the customer's IBAN visible on the invoices. This allows, for example, to put on the invoice "Direct debit to customer's account with IBAN XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX", which will be different for each customer.

    5. Visible for retail: selection in case you want to make the payment method visible at the point of sale.

    6. Visible for wholesales: selection in case you want to make the payment method visible in wholesale sales.

    7. Default cash: selection in case you want this payment method to be the one linked to the "Pay by cash" and "Refund by cash" buttons in the point of sale.

    8. Default card: selection in case you want this payment method to be the one linked to the "Pay by card" and "Refund by card" buttons in the point of sale.

    9. Enable bank remittances: selection in case you want to enable bank remittances for this payment method.

    10. Color: Color in which you want the payment method to be drawn in the list.

    11. Icon: Icon that will be displayed when listing the payment method in the list.

    12. Preview: preview of the colored icon of the payment method.

At last, click the blue SAVE button located at the bottom right of the popup and you will see the payment methods refresh and the one you just created will appear. If there are many payment methods, the new payment method may appear on another page in the list.
