Perform a stock relocation

In Stockagile you can relocate stock to several warehouses at once. This means you can transfer products without needing to create a separate transfer for each warehouse from the transfers section, and you can prepare several at the same time. To find out how a transfer works, click here.

Requirements to perform a stock relocation

  • Have the Owner, Retail Vendor, Retail Manager, Wholesale Manager, Wholesale Vendor or Inventory Manager role, or a custom role with relocation permissions. (Retail Vendor and Wholesale Vendor cannot delete relocations).

Steps to perform a stock relocation

  1. Go to Inventory > Relocations and click on it. Once inside, you'll see the history of relocations already carried out.

  2. Click the blue "New relocation" button at the top right of the panel.

  3. Inside the new relocation, you'll see several options at the top right:

    • Delete: You can delete the relocation as long as it's in draft status. If it has already been executed, you can delete the movements directly from transfers, but not from this section.

    • Settings: Here you select the source warehouse and the different destination warehouses you want to send the goods to. Below that are the display options that will appear above each product variant (a maximum of 4 at a time).

    • Summary: the real-time summary of the transfer distribution.

    • Execute: the button to finish the process once you have it ready.

  4. Next, go to the center of the screen, to the blue "Add products" button. The system will give you four options:

    • Manually: Select the products you want to transfer without them needing to come from another movement.

    • From a transfer: A pop-up will open with the list of transfers to choose from. Use the checkboxes to select the transfer or transfers you want to use, and confirm at the bottom right with the blue "Add" button.

    • From a purchase: Similar to the previous step, select the purchases the relocation will be based on.

    • By products sold: In this case, a calendar will open so you can select the start and end sales dates. This will select the products sold during that period, similar to the process for creating a replenishment.

  5. Once you've selected one of these options, the products involved will appear in the first half of the table, and the stock to be allocated will appear in the second half. You can specify the stock of each variant to relocate in the fields. The rows are the warehouses you specified as destination warehouses, and the columns are the variants.

  6. Once you have the products selected, click the "Execute" button mentioned above at the top right, and it will take you to the relocation summary. If everything looks correct, click "Confirm and execute" in the same place.

  7. At last, the system will ask you which status you want to leave the relocation in: Draft, Pending preparation or Assigned Stock. A window will appear with all the transfers created and the links to them. The relocation will now appear in the relocation history on the home screen, in "executed" status, and you can go in to review its products and movements whenever you need to.
