Stockagile allows you to register products or services, which will be used throughout the system to manage your stock, make purchases or sales, as well as synchronize with the ecommerce.
In this section we will only see how to create a single product, but there is also the option to mass import a set of products from an Excel file.
Requirements to be able to create a product
- The user must have the role of OWNER, STORE MANAGER, WAREHOUSE MANAGER or PRODUCT EDITOR. You can see the different types of roles in the section Create or edit a user.
Recommendations for creating a product
Although you can create brands, seasons, categories and subcategories directly in the same advanced product creation, we recommend you to have created them before.
- You must have registered the brand from BRANDS, in case you don't have a brand you can create one called "No Brand". You can follow the steps to create a brand in the section Create and edit brands.
- You must have registered the season from SEASONS, in case you do not have a season, you can create one called "No Season" or the same year in which we have the product for the first time, for example "2021". You can follow the steps to create a season in the section Create and edit seasons.
- You must have created the category from CATEGORIES, if you do not have a category you can create one called "No Category". You can follow the steps to create a category in the section Create and edit categories and subcategories.
- You have created variants (such as sizes, sizes, colors, tastes, or other possible variants of your products) from VARIANT CATEGORIES, in case you don't have variants a color called "Unique Color" and a size/size called "Unique Size/Size". You can follow the steps to create different color palettes, sizes, etc. in the section Create and edit variants such as sizes, sizes, colors or tastes.
Steps to create a product quickly (below we explain how to do it with the advanced creator)
- To create a new product you must go to the PRODUCTS section from the side menu, located in the Catalog section.
- From the product list, click on the top right button that says NEW PRODUCT.
- We fill in the following popup data.
- Code: Product identification code, unique in the system.
- Name: The name of the product.
- Category: Product category.
- Subcategory: Subcategory of the product.
- Season: Season of the product.
- Brand: Product brand.
- DDP Price: Initial cost price of the product, after customs and shipping.
- Variants: Mark whether the product has variants, and if it does, mark the color palette and colors, and the size palette or sizes and sizes or sizes.
- Click on the SAVE button and after a few seconds, you will see a confirmation message that the product has been created.
- If you want to see it or continue editing it (to modify prices, photos, etc.) click on the GO TO DETAILS link in the same message or look for the product in the product list.

Steps to create an advanced product
- To create a new product in an advanced way by editing all the fields, go to the PRODUCTS section from the side menu, located in the Catalog section.
- From the product list, click on the top right button that says NEW PRODUCT.
- You will see the pop-up window to create a new product, at the bottom left side you will see the button of YOU CAN ALSO USE THE ADVANCED CREATOR, click there.
- On this screen you must fill in the product data, the fields with * are mandatory. Below this article you will find a table with the description of each field.
- From this screen you can create the brand, period/season, categories and subcategories by scrolling to the bottom of the list. So you don't need to go to the configuration section to create your product for the first time.

- Once you have entered the fields you need, click on NEXT located at the bottom.

- In the next step, you will introduce the different SALES PRICES. You can have different rates such as the wholesale rate, the store sale rate, the ecommerce rate (if the prices are different from the store because it is in another country), the outlet rate, etc. For each rate you will select:
- Product tax.
- You will enter either the price WITHOUT the tax or WITH the tax and immediately the other will be calculated automatically.
- In case of promotion, type the PERCENTAGE discount, the discount price WITHOUT taxes or the discount price WITH taxes, just type one and the rest will be autocompleted.
- Product tax.
- Once you have entered the prices, click on the NEXT button located at the bottom to proceed to configure the product variants.
- This is where you create the product variants. Given the same product we can have different variants of color, size, smell, taste, size, power, memory, etc. The system allows you to choose two, one related to the senses (color, smell, etc.) and the other related to the size (size, measurements, etc.), so select each of the two palettes and define the different options for each of them.
- Finally click on the FINISH button and a last pop-up window will appear asking you if you want to generate barcodes or not. Once the product is created you will have the option to change it anyway.

If for example we bought shirts at an initial DDP of €100, after two seasons the value could have devaluated to €60. We will use this field to calculate the value of the warehouse stock. |
